Lutikey works through Bluetooth connection. The location is reported to the phone through this connection. Once the connection is determined both the phone and the device will give a lost alert signal. Bluetooth has a high frequency band, which effectiveness for communication maybe limited by the environment. Multiple walls, solid objects, and other interferences may decrease the effectiveness of the Bluetooth signal. We have maximized the Lutikey range for personal item tracking within normal distance.
Bluetooth: Bluetooth must be enabled at all times so Lutikey can work properly. The device must enable Bluetooth connection in general, and the connection must be enabled for the Lutikey app.
LutiKey App enabled in the background: The App should not be terminated. When not using the app directly, the app should be moved into the background, but not ended or terminated. For iOS devices, background refresh must be enabled. Setting>Lutikey> background running enabled. The background setting can be changed during app installation.
Android devices vary from platform to platform. Please see instructions for your own device and look for the setting related to background program running. To make sure the setting enables Lutikey, search Lutikey App > application running environment testing
Installation permission grants: The permission to successfully run the Lutikey app will be requested at the installation page. The Lutikey app needs all of the requested permissions granted in order to run, failure to grant one of the requested permissions will lead to unsuccessful operation.
Enable access to the current location: This setting is necessary for the tracking and location recording functions. When enabled, Lutikey will locate the item through the in App GPS map.
Once you have reported that your Lutikey is lost, the information will be distributed to the Lutikey cloud service. This information will then be passed safely to all connected devices that have joined the community. When another device in the community has detected the signal of the lost Lutikey, this information will be reported back to the cloud service and in turn to you.

Many times, we want to inform someone that we are ok and where we are located at that moment, but sometimes we are in a hurry or simply we don’t want to call to let them know. LutiKey makes things easier. Double click the button on your LutiKey device and the people that you’ve shared your device with will receive a notice on their LutiKey App letting them know that you are ok and also the location of where you are at that moment (a green light will turn on for a few seconds on your device, this means the notifications were sent successfully)

Yes. First, remove the Lutikey from your App while it is connected. Once the Lutikey App notices that it is no longer connected with your previous device, it may be transferred.
Lutikey works through Bluetooth connection. The location is reported to the phone through this connection. Once the connection is determined both the phone and the device will give a lost alert signal. Bluetooth has a high frequency band, which effectiveness for communication maybe limited by the environment. Multiple walls, solid objects, and other interferences may decrease the effectiveness of the Bluetooth signal. We have maximized the Lutikey range for personal item tracking within normal distance.
Bluetooth: Bluetooth must be enabled at all times so Lutikey can work properly. The device must enable Bluetooth connection in general, and the connection must be enabled for the Lutikey app.
LutiKey App enabled in the background: The App should not be terminated. When not using the app directly, the app should be moved into the background, but not ended or terminated. For iOS devices, background refresh must be enabled. Setting>Lutikey> background running enabled. The background setting can be changed during app installation.
Android devices vary from platform to platform. Please see instructions for your own device and look for the setting related to background program running. To make sure the setting enables Lutikey, search Lutikey App > application running environment testing
Installation permission grants: The permission to successfully run the Lutikey app will be requested at the installation page. The Lutikey app needs all of the requested permissions granted in order to run, failure to grant one of the requested permissions will lead to unsuccessful operation.
Enable access to the current location: This setting is necessary for the tracking and location recording functions. When enabled, Lutikey will locate the item through the in App GPS map.
Once you have reported that your Lutikey is lost, the information will be distributed to the Lutikey cloud service. This information will then be passed safely to all connected devices that have joined the community. When another device in the community has detected the signal of the lost Lutikey, this information will be reported back to the cloud service and in turn to you.

Even though we recommend everyone to take full advantage of all the functionalities that are offered on our Plus and Premium subscriptions, when you connect your LutiKey with your phone, you’ll have full access to all functions that the LutiKey App has to offer on its basic plan, including our growing community!
LutiKey is designed to help you find those items that are most valuable to you. When you activate LutiKey and attach it to any item or give to a person, the LutiKey App finds it and establishes a connection with it by using a Bluetooth signal from your device. Once that connection is established, LutiKey will then use the location service of the mobile device to communicate and keep updated the location information to the App.

The LutiKey battery is guaranteed to last for at least 1 year after activation. After that time, the battery can be replaced. Not to worry, your LutiKey will always have a working battery because we will send our subscription members one battery every year at no additional cost. In the case that you have not signed up to one of our subscriptions, the LutiKey app will notify you ahead of time when the battery is due to be changed.
What happens if my battery dies before 1 year?
If your battery dies before one year from when it was activated, we will send a replacement battery free of charge, it is covered by our warranty.
Our community is secure and completely anonymous. Other LutiKey users will not be able to see your LutiKey or any information related to the account. The only way that another person can see your LutiKey information is if you have shared it with another person through your LutiKey App.

It often happens that we cannot remember where we left our phone, but luckily, you’ll only have to press the button on your LutiKey device and your phone will start to play a music that will guide you to it (it will emit the sound even if your phone is on silent mode)
LutiKey is equipped with a function that will help in case there’s something left behind or forgotten. After connection is lost between your cell phone and your LutiKey device, an alert will be sent to your phone letting you know you forgot something important.
This function comes deactivated by default because not everyone wants it active for all the LutiKey devices.

Follow these steps to share your LutiKey
If the person you’ve shared your LutiKey with is already a LutiKey user, it will automatically show up on your shared devices list of your LutiKey App. If the person does not have the LutiKey App installed on their phone, they will receive an email saying you’ve shared your LutiKey, along with the instructions on how to install the LutiKey App.
Note: Basic subscription lets you share your Lutikey with one person, if you’d like to share it with more than one person, the Plus or Premium subscription will need to be purchased.
Many times, we want to inform someone that we are ok and where we are located at that moment, but sometimes we are in a hurry or simply we don’t want to call to let them know. LutiKey makes things easier. Double click the button on your LutiKey device and the people that you’ve shared your device with will receive a notice on their LutiKey App letting them know that you are ok and also the location of where you are at that moment (a green light will turn on for a few seconds on your device, this means the notifications were sent successfully)

Press and hold for 4 seconds the button on your LutiKey device, it will initiate a call to Emergency Services (LutiKey will call the emergency number of the country where its located at the time) At the same time LutiKey will notify the people you’ve shared the device with, letting them know that you are in trouble and where you’re located at that moment (a green light on your LutiKey will turn on for a few seconds, this means the notifications were sent successfully). Within the notice your contacts receive, there’s an option to notify you that help is on the way, the button’s green light will turn and stay on until you press the LutiKey button again

To know the last location of our LutiKey is an excellent way to find what is lost or misplaced and if someone else finds it, how can they reach out to return it? Each LutiKey device comes with a sticker that can placed on the back of the device, if someone finds it they can access a webpage where they will have the option to call or send you a message to recover it (the moment the sticker is read, LutiKey will notify you when and where it was accessed)

LutiKey will let you create groups of LutiKey users, it can be a group of friends, family groups or a group of people travelling together to make sure everyone keeps in touch with one another
To create a group, follow these steps:
When you create a group, it will automatically make you the administrator and have the control to add or delete any members of the group.
When you invite someone to join your group, that person will need to accept your invitation before becoming part of the group. If you are inviting a person that have not installed LutiKey App, they will receive an email inviting them to join the group along with the instructions on how to install the LutiKey App

It can make a difference if during an emergency, the person providing medical help has the necessary information. All of our LutiKey devices come with a sticker that can placed on the back of the device, this will provide access to your medical information in case of an emergency.

If you happen to lose something with a LutiKey attached to it, you will need to mark it as lost in order for our community to be aware. If found, you will be notified as soon as any community member locates it. Any LutiKey that is linked to your account as well as any that has been shared, can be marked as lost. In order to do that, you must follow these steps:
The option “Mark as Lost” will only be visible if your LutiKey is not within range and connected to your phone.
If you’re trying to link a LutiKey device to your account and receive a message saying it was previously activated, it’s because it was linked to someone else’s account. We recommend you contact that person that transferred that LutiKey to you, so they can delete it from their account and it’s free to link it to your account.

Your LutiKey location is updated using the Bluetooth between your LutiKey and your device.
If it ever happens that your app is not displaying the right location of your LutiKey on the map, follow these steps to resolve this issue:
Updates: Please update your device’s software, and the app to the most current versions.
Location Services: Location Services must be on for both your phone and the app. To confirm that your location services are enabled:
For iOS devices: Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services (On) > Scroll down to “LutiKey and check that “Allow Location Access” is set to “Always“. This will ensure LutiKey locations are updating when the app is running in the background.
For Android devices: Each phone model’s settings may differ, but the essential functionality may be accessed in Settings > search for or tap on “Location”> ensure the setting is “On” and that LutiKey is granted permission.
Battery Savings Options: These settings can slow location updates or stop locations from updating in an effort to save phone battery. To ensure that your phone is showing the most up-to-date and current locations, please check your specific phone’s documentation and adjust these settings so that the LutiKey App is continually updating the location of your LutiKey device.
